We can complete all 3D printing tasks to assist your project, including new designs, modifications, and the production of 3D-printed plastic parts. Most commonly, we create 3D-printed electronics prototyping parts, and production-grade 3D-printed bobbins and custom plastic spools to help you build a new transformer, inductor, or coil. 3D Printing for Low to Moderate Orders
3D printing is the ideal solution for low to moderate quantity orders of custom parts. It’s a fast and cost-effective way to make fewer production-grade parts, or to make a single part and test it as a prototype ahead of mass production. 3D printing offers a high-quality solution for low-volume orders that avoids the costs of creating a mold for injection molding. It’s also a great way to gain buy-in on your product and bring it to market faster and with a greater likelihood of success. We can support you through every step of the process. We can help create design files based on your vision, offer guidance and modify or review your files, and 3D print your part.
3D-Printed Bobbins and Spools
We specialize in building custom transformers, inductors, and coils. Bobbins and spools that complement new designs aren’t always available. Many of our customers need innovative new custom bobbins or spools in less common dimensions to work with their designs. When you need a lower quantity order of production parts, or a prototype, injection molding is not a suitable choice. 3D printing fills this gap and enables you to design the bobbin you need to bring your product to market.
A Full-Service Solution to Custom Coils
Wondering exactly how we can meet the needs of your project? Here’s how it works:
- Contact us by submitting the form on this page, or the request a quote form. We will be in touch via email or phone to ensure we have a thorough understanding of your 3D printing project.
- Design files are needed to create your 3D-printed bobbin. You can send us your 2D or 3D designs, ask us to modify or review them ahead of production, or ask our team to create the files for you, based on your direction.
- Once your designs are finalized, we will prepare the machine for your project.
- Your bobbin will be printed one layer at a time.
- Our team can clean and inspect the new part, ensuring critical dimensions are met.
- Our coil winding team can use your new 3D-printed bobbin to wind your coil, inductor, or transformer.
If you are using your new coil as a prototype, we can return to your design files and help you make modifications if you would like to continue to optimize your design.
Trusted Coil Bobbin Manufacturers
3D-printed bobbins are high quality and offer a reliable solution. We’re proud to offer our services as a plastic bobbin manufacturer you know and trust, offering local support and customer service for anyone who needs to speak with an expert to finalize their transformer bobbin designs. Custom bobbins and spools perfectly complement our work creating unique and innovative coils made to your specifications. From transformer bobbin design services to the production of custom plastic spools, we’re a full-service coil bobbin manufacturer offering 3D printing services that are perfect for prototyping and one-off or minimum quantity needs.
More Electronics Prototyping 3D Printing Services
It’s not just bobbins and spools that we specialize in 3D printing. We can also assist with 3D-printed tooling projects. 3D printed tooling enables you to test your machine parts to ensure they’re functioning as planned, before investing in expensive injection molded parts. 3D printing also offers a production-grade solution if you don’t need a large quantity of parts. 3D printed molds, fixtures, and gages are all great examples of tooling items that can be 3D printed with a high-quality output. In fact, we can complete a wide range of 3D printing projects, for electronics prototyping, new production-grade parts, and other purposes. If you’re in need of 3D-printed plastic parts or 3D-printed prototypes of any kind, our experts are here to help.
Fast-Turnaround Rapid Prototyping 3D Printing
If you’re looking for rapid prototyping 3D printing you’re in the right place. Let us know if you’re looking for a rapid solution when you get in touch, and we’ll be able to confirm if we can meet your needs. If your files are ready for use, we may be able to complete your 3D printing project in as little as one day.
Please get in touch for a quote and timeline for your rapid prototyping 3D printing project; the complexity of the design and size of the item are some of the various factors that can impact how quickly the print will be completed. Rapid 3D printing can also be used to complete low to moderate volume orders of production-grade parts.
The Benefits of 3D Printing
You might be wondering if 3D printing is the right solution for your project. Here are just a few benefits of 3D printing to consider:
- If you have a low volume need, 3D printing is likely to be a much better option than injection molding, as you won’t need to invest in the creation of a mold to proceed.
- 3D printing is great for prototyping, which allows for trial and error, and enables you to continue your project with confidence.
- Rapid prototyping 3D printing can help you increase efficiencies and push your project forward faster.
- Rapid 3D printing is also a great solution for production-grade custom parts.
- 3D printing allows you to create precise parts built to exact dimensions and specifications.
Additive Manufacturing Services
If you’re looking for additive manufacturing, you’re in the right place. “Additive manufacturing” is another name for 3D printing. As outlined above, additive manufacturing involves creating a 3D printed product, that is designed using CAD software. Our 3D printer uses a material extrusion process and, as with all 3D printing processes, the object is created layer by layer.

FAQs
What kind of files do I need?
We can work from 2D and 3D designs. Please send us .STL, .STP, and .OBJ files to print from, or we can work from a 2D drawing (.DWG, or .PDF) and take your project from there.
What is the maximum file size I should send?
Please keep your file size to a maximum of 50 MB.
What are the maximum dimensions you can 3D print?
The maximum dimensions we can build a single part to are 11.0×9.8×11.8 inches (280×250×300 mm). If you have a need for a larger part, we can still complete this project by printing multiple pieces than can be adjoined, for example using industrial-grade adhesives or printed snap-fit joints.
What materials can you print?
We make 3D-printed parts in popular plastics including PLA and ABS. We can also 3D print in advanced materials like PA, PC, PLA-CF, PETG-CF, and ASA.
